hey adrian - thanks for coming by today - this is the free and open question forum???? hmmmm welll - if i stayed true to form, i'd ask a wanky question, but i'll hold back (truly truly i wouldn't do that anyway, but i love to make people sweat!) i doubt you break a sweat very often - anyway - so i'm very happy to have met "my" guys - you quinlan and harry - hey wait a sexond - that spankberry tart at the bottom of these comments actually talks about a p**is of Andre the Giant - so i'm not so weird after all? whew - i feel better - going to bed now - night ttfn ~ tressie
If Lebanon was the only thing that has bit this country in the buns, it would be a miracle. Korea is another prime example. There are so many others. If we had taken care of business in Lebanon would we be going through the agony we are currently going through? Who knows. And so it goes.
Thank you for the kind words. Too many people think the veterans can only come up with drivel. If they only knew the truth of what we have seen, heard, and done. Never will happen.
I had a good 4th. Hope yours was good, too. I kicked back and did - NOTHING. Quite a switch for my typical holidays.
Your words lifted my spirits. I wasn't trying to sound like I was on a pity party or bragging. I was trying to let people see how deeply war affects people and that people need to truly care. If everybody HAD to sit and listen to the openness and pain of this MAN, what would happen to war? Dream on, it will never happen.
It is I who should be calling you "Sir." After all I was enlisted while you were the flyboy. I spent 7 years teaching instrument procedures to student pilots and simulator console operator - those were my favorite jobs. Then I went into flight management - you know keeping you guys up to datae on your requirements and DNIF's. I had a pegged as a flyboy from the moment I saw your site. Does the term "spook" (intel) mean anything? I went through that course and graduated 3rd in my class. The life of the military. I really do miss it but life happens.
Thanks for including the Hawkeye for me. It brings back some memories of Panama which is where I saw it. Being an AWACer, it piqued my interest. My favorite airplane is the T-38 Talon/F-5. I know they are not as fancy as the newer jets but I spent a lot of years with them. Even got an orientation ride in the Talon. What a blast.
